It is said that to make others laugh is the most difficult task. It is very much true as well. If you are in Manchester City then you can pull up your socks and head for laughter times all this month. We bring to you a short guide to some comedy night which will be held all throughout July.
Robin Ince’s (Almost) Farewell:
Ince has threatened to give up stand up once again. As a matter of fact, he is just taking some rest. Well, no doubt, he is a busy person with the news, exploring politics and science in Monkey Cage shows with Prof. Brian Cox. The show brings some of the best blend of the greatest and brand new hits.
Compere Ray Peacock brings to you yet another top line up at the Chorlton Irish Club. Musical Scouser Steve Gribbin is one of the finest original political comedians; Little Hulton’s comic Steve Harris has a cheeky presence while Penella Mellor is a graceful bad mother and adds dark humour to the show.
Continuing the tradition of some great line ups, they have always offered, GT play host to offbeat poet Tim Key. Key achieved fame as Alan Partridge’s SIDESICK Simon, played opposite one of the most amazing artists, Daniel Kitson. However, it is the mesmerizing performance of the key which steals the show.
